Q: How do I start the process to build a pool?
A: The best way to start is by giving us a call. We start by asking a few questions about the type of pool and features you are interested in. We then set an appointment to check access to the site, take measurements, locate utilities, etc. We then ask you detailed questions about your desires and expectations of the swimming pool so that we can build exactly what you want. Once we have an idea of what you want we can then submit a proposal. The timeframe from the first call to a signed contract usually entails a few meetings and phone calls over the course of a few weeks. You can also complete this form to have us contact you.

Q: What can I expect to invest to build a “Quality Pool?”
A: Our pools range from the mid-twenty thousand to several hundred thousand depending on the scope of the project and the owner’s desires.

Q: How can I pay for the pool?
A: Most owners will use home equity loans. We will invoice you as work progresses according to a pre-arranged schedule. This payment schedule varies with the scope of the project and can vary from 3 to 4 for most backyard pools and up to twelve payments for large commercial or institutional pools.

Q: Do you build the pool or use subcontractors?
A: The majority of our work is performed in-house. We have two construction supervisors who have nearly sixty years of combined experience with Quality Pools and with their skill, knowledge and expertise there are few projects that we can’t take on. There are specialized trades such as electric and gas for which we are not licensed, but we do have licensed subcontractors who we can recommend and orchestrate to ensure the project runs smoothly.

Q: How long will the construction take?
A: Generally 4-8 weeks, but an elaborate project can take much longer. We take our time to make sure the construction is done properly the first time. The biggest contributor to delays is central Ohio’s weather.

Q: How do you get your work?
A: The majority of our pools come from referrals. And since we have been building pools for over 40 years there many clients for whom we have built multiple pools as they have owned different homes over the years.

Q: How big of a company is Quality Pools?
A: Though we are one of central Ohio’s largest pool companies being the biggest is not our main focus. We are not interested in building hundreds of pools each year because we believe the quality of work will suffer and, after all, “quality” is in our name.

Q: Why do bids from different companies vary so much?
A: There is much more in the price than the size or shape of a pool. Unseen factors such as quality of material, craftsmanship, warranties and customer service affect the price greatly. We offer one of the strongest warranties of central Ohio builders and we serve as warranty service centers for all products we use ensuring a smooth claims process. The price is only one of many factors that should be used when selecting a builder.

A: The most important factor is that you feel comfortable with and can communicate with the company you decide to hire. Has the company listened to you about what you want from your swimming pool or are you being sold something off the shelf? How thoroughly have your questions been answered?
